Where is the Solar do BisavÔ ?
Solar do Bisavô is located north of Faro, on the edge of the small village of Bordeira (“famous” for its four cafés… and its brand new Museum of Stone and Folk Art).
- 15 km from Faro airport
- 5 minutes by car from Sao Bras do Alportel, a small Algarvian town with all the services you need for everyday life (a traditional market every day of the week except Sunday, numerous shops, four super markets, several pharmacies and a modern clinic….).
An ideal base for discovering the Algarve
Bordeira’s strategic location, just five minutes from the A22 motorway that crosses the Algarve from east to west, makes Solar do Bisavô an ideal base from which to discover all the treasures of southern Portugal in a single day.
Faro is 15 km away | Olhão 14 km | Loulé 24 km | Tavira 35 km
And a little further afield,
– to the east, Cacela Velha, Vila Real de Santo António, Alcoutim
– To the west, Benagil, Carvoeiro, Lagos, Sagres, with Portimão and Albufeira on the way.
– to the north, Silves, Monchique, Aljezur
For beach lovers, the choice is yours
– The nearest, the praia de Faro and its magical sunsets
– Opposite Olhão, in the heart of the Ria Formosa, on the islands accessible by ferry or taxi boat, praia da Armona, praia da Culatra and praia do Farol.
– A little further afield, the praia da Cacela Velha and its emerald lagoon, the praia da Falésia and its majestic ochre cliffs, the praia do Barril and its charming little train…
– And a thousand more…
